Quality Nose Studs Blog

There are several types on nose jewelry to choose from and for most it is personal preference as to which style they wear. However for some it might be the type of nose they have that that effects their choice in style. For eg. A very thin nostril piercings best choice will be a nose bone or L shape, whereas a thicker nostril wears a nose screw more comfortably.

Understanding the different styles is important to your nose jewelry choice

Nose Rings are round hoops and they come in several different styles such as captive bead rings which have a ball in the closure, continuous nose rings have a space in them which is clamped shut once the nose ring is in the piercing. A segment nose ring is a hoop that has a small section that can be removed for insertion which gives it a seamless look. Nose rings can be worn not only in the left or right nostril but also in the center septum of the nose. They are also commonly worn several other piercing's on the body.

Nose Screws have a bend in the post either left bend for left nostrils or right bend for right nostrils. These are a very popular style as the gauge is the same through the whole nose jewelry piece which makes them easier to put in and take out and the bend in the piece keeps it from falling out. Please note we can make any nose screw either left or right bend upon request.

Nose Bones have a straight post with a small ball on the end. The ball on the end is slightly thicker than the gauge of the jewelry making the nose bone the most secure as the nose piercing adapts to the gauge of the post, the larger gauge ball keeps it from coming out. The issue some have with this style is that it can be a bit painful putting the nose bone in or removing it. It is best to use some pure vitamin e-oil to help with the insertion or removal as this will moisten the piercing and has soothing and healing properties.

Nose Studs are completely straight posts that can be custom bent into an L or screw style form and becoming an increasingly popular style of choice. Remerber that www. qualitynosestuds.com can customize this style for you upon request. Just contact us before you order with the specifics such as post length ect.

Nose Pins this is just another term used for the straight stud style

These are the technical terms for nose jewelry styles however many people call a screw a ring and a stud a bone. As long as you understand the technical terms you will be aware of what you are in fact looking for. On our site we use several different terms for different items for search purposes. If you are ever in doubt the rule is whatever is in the photo is what you will receive.
